The Potter County Law Enforcement Association was formed in 2022 when employees of the Potter County Sheriff's Office recognized the need for a local organization to better represent them. Employees need a collective voice when seeking workplace improvement through agency administration or local government. PCLEA was born to provide that voice and support our coworkers. We also are a 501(c)(4) nonprofit organization, allowing us the ability to support local political candidates who support our cause.
PCLEA members are peace officers, corrections officers, telecommunicators, and other unsworn employees of the Potter County Sheriff's Office. We currently represent over 90 employees and their interests through active communication with agency administration and local government participation.
PCLEA is a local affiliate of the statewide organization called The Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas (CLEAT). Additionally, CLEAT is part of the National Association of Police Organizations (NAPO). These groups provide legal representation, legislative and political power, assistance in labor negotiations, and more to represent local police and sheriff employees at the State and Federal levels.
